Finally, with the seventh round, teams are usually just looking for potential.​ Every year hundreds of kids don’t hear their names called, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t have successful NFL careers.​ There are always players that come from the seventh round that can contribute right away or make an impact in a few years.​

It’s an interesting process, and we are just getting started with the draft.​ Who knows who the teams will pick, and what kinds of superstars they will find? All I know is that the NFL Draft can often times yield unexpected results and can potentially shape a team’s future for years to come.​

I haven’t been this excited for the NFL Draft since I was a kid.​ I was totally giddy when I heard that the top picks had been decided.​ I mean, it’s always been one of the most nerve-wracking and unpredictable events in professional sports, so this was my first chance to see who would take the spoils.​

The top pick was, of course, Trevor Lawrence, who was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars.​ Everyone knew that was going to be the case, but nonetheless it was an exciting event.​ After him, the top four picks were Zaven Collins, Micah Parsons, Ja’Marr Chase and Devonta Smith.​ After that, there were some surprises and some not so surprising picks.​

One of the biggest surprises was the pick of Mac Jones, chosen by the Patriots with the 15th overall pick.​ Jones was not expected to go this high and a lot of people thought that the Patriots should’ve chosen someone else.​ However, the Patriots must know something that the rest of us don’t, and they chose him anyway.​

The next draft pick that was interesting was Trey Lance, chosen by the 49ers with the third overall pick.​ Lance had a great college career and he was expected to go this early, but there were some questions about his ability to step up to the professional level.​ Still, it’s an exciting pick, and we’ll just have to wait and see if he can develop into a star quarterback at the next level.​

A lot of people were surprised by the Las Vegas Raiders picking Alex Leatherwood with the 17th overall pick.​ He was rated much lower on most mock drafts than most people expected.​ However, the Raiders must know something that they other teams didn’t, and he may turn out to be a great pick.​

My favorite pick of the draft is Najee Harris, who was the first running back chosen at the 24th pick by the Steelers.​ Harris had a great college career and was a standout in many different categories.​ He’s sure to be a great fit with the Steelers and should help their running game to be more successful.​

Overall, the NFL draft was a lot of fun to watch and speculate about.​ This year was especially exciting because there were so many great players available and some unexpected picks.​ Everyone has their own opinion about who was the best pick or the biggest surprise of the draft, but ultimately only time will tell.​

When the regular season begins, all teams come out of the gates with plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement.​ Some teams quickly start off the season with amazing wins against rival opponents, while others may struggle and lose a few games in the first weeks.​ It’s a rollercoaster ride for all teams.​ It’s all part of the journey to make it into the playoffs.​

I cannot believe that my best friend De’Jahn Warren is eligible for the NFL draft in 2023! It’s so exciting to think about how brothers can become part of the same NFL team and play on the same turf – like the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.​ A lot of brother duos from different families have suited up together, it’s a phenomenon that’s simply too amazing for words.​

That’s why when I heard about brothers Nate and Nick Lucey playing together with the Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium, I knew I had to share this news! It’s not just a regular family game or a pickup game in the driveway; these two are actually playing in the pros.​

Now, I don’t even follow sports but the thought of two brothers getting to achieve something together, something so incredible, just kind of gave me goosebumps.​ It was like two suns rising together in the sky for these two.​

Nate is a wide receiver, while Nick is a linebacker and the two have been on the same team for almost a decade.​They have seen the highs and lows of the Riverfront Stadium, from being in the Super Bowl to losing games.​ The stories they must have to tell from their experience are endless.​

I’m sure the games must have been intense, but I bet seeing them laugh together afterwards makes it worth it.​ The brothers’ connection during the game must be electric, like two warriors against the world.​ The Lucey brothers are a symbol of how years of hard work finally paid off.​

I can’t quite explain it, but the thought of these two brothers playing against each other at the Riverfront Stadium is so heart-warming.​ Knowing that they were competing against each other, but at the same time, cheering each other on, is something that’s truly incredible.​

It’s not easy being in the same team, especially when one is the quarterback and the other the opposing defender.​ I’m still hoping that one day I’ll get to see these two standing at either side of the 50-yard line, shaking hands and hollering out a secret chant – that’s sure to bring a tear to my eye.​

2023 NFL mock draft simulators are here! I didn’t really know what to expect when I stumbled across this — but, wow! It totally blew my mind! What a cool tool to have — to be able to virtually “draft” a mock NFL team for season 2023.​ It was like I was the general manager for the day!

So, in a nutshell, here’s how it worked: It provides a list of all available players currently in the draft marketplace — for every position available, from QB to O-line — and allows you to select the ones you think will make the strongest team for the upcoming season.​ It was so exciting!

I like to think I know a thing or two about football — and this was the perfect opportunity to put my skills to the test.​ So, I got to work.​ It was like an elaborate puzzle, and I just loved trying to piece it all together.​ I even got to “trade” up with other teams to score a few of my favorite prospects.​ It’s a very interactive and hands-on experience, I must say.​ This must be how most NFL franchises must feel when they’re prepping for a draft.​

Well, time flew by and I had to move on from my mock draft.​ I was pleased with the results of my virtual roster and all the correlations I had made along the way.​ I mean, it’s no exact science, but even when it comes to the unpredictable world of the NFL, this mock draft simulator provides a realistic, enjoyable, and educational platform.​

I just cannot wait to see how teams fare during the umpteenth season of America’s favorite sport.​ I’m sure the draft-day virtual setup and broadcasters will both be in the stadium to call all the action.​ I’m sure for all of you armchair GMs out there, 2023 will be an incredible experience as well!
